US imposes and immediately suspends tariffs on ~$2B of imports
The US imposed and immediately suspended tariffs on ~$2B of imports from six nations (the UK, Austria, India, Italy, Spain, and Turkey) in response to digital service taxes that US regulators say unfairly target US tech firms (e.g. Google and Facebook). The 25% tariffs were delayed for 180 days to allow time for negotiations.
