US announces plans to share 60M AstraZeneca vaccines

The US announced plans to share 60M doses of AstraZeneca’s coronavirus vaccine internationally once the vaccine receives sign-off from US regulators. The vaccine has not yet received FDA authorization, and officials noted that the US likely will not need the vaccine in the coming months (due to existing supply of the three currently approved vaccines).
