The New York Attorney General found that ~80% of public comments on the FCC’s 2017 decision to repeal net neutrality rules were fabricated, including 8.5M comments in support of the repeal (funded by a broadband industry trade group) and 9.3M comments against the repeal (generated primarily by a “19-year old college student using automated software”).
