Israeli opposition parties reached a deal to form a unity government, aiming to oust Benjamin Netanyahu as Israel’s longest-serving prime minister (after twelve years). The new government still requires approval from Israel’s parliament where the politically diverse coalition of eight parties holds a slim majority.
