CO2 peaks in May at 50 percent above pre-industrial levels

Atmospheric carbon dioxide peaked in May at 50% above pre-industrial levels, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The report (source) noted that increasing CO2 levels are driven by a wide range of activities, including transportation and electrical generation, cement manufacturing, deforestation, and agriculture.
