Biden signs hate crimes bill
President Biden signed the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act yesterday, following approval in the House this week. The legislation calls on the Justice Department to facilitate an expedited review of coronavirus-related hate crimes, following a recent increase in crimes and violence against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
