Biden administration to invest $3 billion in antivirals
The Biden administration announced plans to invest $3B in the discovery, development, and manufacturing of antiviral medications for the coronavirus and future virus threats. The effort will be coordinated across several federal agencies (including the HHS, NIH, and NIAD) and will aim to build “sustainable platforms for discovery and development of antivirals for other viruses with pandemic potential.”
