Biden administration announces troop withdrawal
The Biden administration announced plans to withdraw all US troops from Afghanistan by September 11, delaying the May 1 deadline agreed to in the US-Taliban peace deal. 2,500 US troops remain in Afghanistan, and President Biden is expected to address the planned withdrawal today.
