2020 census results released

Initial results from the 2020 US census were released yesterday. The once-per-decade report showed the US population increasing to 331M (up 7.4% from 2010). Texas grew by the largest absolute volume (up 4M to 29M) while Utah grew by the largest percentage (up 18% to 3M). Here’s the full report.

Extra: As part of the census, US Representatives are reallocated to states in the “apportionment process. Texas gained two seats, five states gained one seat (CO, FL, MT, NC, OR), and seven states lost one seat (CA, IL, MI, NY, OH, PA, WV).
