Winter storm in Texas leaves 4M without power
A winter storm in Texas left over 4M people without power yesterday as the state’s electric grid operator imposed rotating blackouts due to record demand. The storm (also believed to be responsible for two deaths in Texas) is part of a larger system that placed over 150M Americans under winter weather advisories yesterday. Several states have declared states of emergency as the storm brings record-low temperatures and heavy snowfall around the US.
