WHO researchers delivered a preliminary update on their investigation into the origins of the coronavirus in Wuhan, China today. While the investigation is ongoing, the researchers found that the virus was likely transmitted from an animal to humans and that it was unlikely to have come from a laboratory.

A team of WHO researchers arrived in January to investigate the virus’ origins (following months of negotiations with the Chinese government).
