UC college system will no longer consider ACT, SAT scores

The University of California system will no longer consider SAT or ACT scores in admissions or scholarship decisions, according to a student lawsuit settlement announced Friday. The standardized admissions tests have faced concerns over putting certain students (e.g. those in lower-income families) at a disadvantage. The 10-campus UC system has over 280k students statewide.
