Waymo to launch driverless car service to general public in Phoenix

Waymo announced plans to open its self-driving car service to the general public in Phoenix yesterday. The Alphabet-owned company offers ride-sharing services (similar to those of Uber and Lyft) using fully autonomous, driverless cars. Waymo began privately testing its service in Phoenix in 2016, and plans to roll out the program to the general public in the coming weeks.
