Venezuela legislative elections

Venezuela’s Socialist Party declared victory in National Assembly elections yesterday, saying that it won 67% of the seats in the nation’s legislature. The elections were boycotted by opposition candidates amid accusations of fraud, and mark the latest in a two-year power struggle between sitting President Nicolas Maduro (supported by Russia, China, and Iran) and opposition leader Juan Guaido (supported by the US, EU, and several Latin American nations).
