US to donate 500M vaccines globally
The White House announced plans to purchase and donate 500M Pfizer coronavirus vaccines. The vaccines will be donated to “low- and lower middle-income countries and the African Union” (source). The announcement follows a series of US actions aimed at supporting the ongoing global vaccine rollout, including $2B in contributions to COVAX.
