Uber and Walgreens partner on vaccine access in underserved communities

Uber and Walgreens announced a partnership focused on coronavirus vaccine access in underserved communities. As part of the agreement, Uber will provide free rides to Walgreens vaccine clinics for “socially vulnerable communities” and the companies will work together on educational initiatives and technology solutions that make booking appointments easier. Pilot programs are expected to launch in Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, and El Paso in the coming months (source).
