Uber announced plans to sell its self-driving car unit to Aurora Innovation. The deal reportedly values Uber’s Uber’s Advanced Technologies Group at $4B (down from $7B last year) and comes amid an ongoing push by the ride-sharing company to shed unprofitable business units. As part of the deal, Uber will also invest $400M into Aurora and Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi will join the self-driving car startup’s board.
