Uber acquires Drizly

Uber announced plans to acquire alcohol delivery company Drizly for $1B. Drizly was founded in 2012 and currently operates in over 1,400 cities. The acquisition comes amid increasing competition in the food and beverage delivery space, including Uber’s “Uber Eats” unit.
