Tesla set to join S&P 500 in December

S&P Global announced that it will add Tesla to the S&P 500 index on December 21. The electric vehicle company qualified for the index earlier this year after reporting four consecutive quarters of profitability. Tesla shares were up over 13% in pre-market trading on the news.
