US conducts airstrikes in Syria

The US conducted airstrikes against Iranian-backed militias in eastern Syria last night, destroying several facilities located at a border control point. The strikes came in response to recent attacks against US and coalition personnel in Iraq, according to a statement released by the Pentagon (source).
