Suez Canal blocked

The Suez Canal in Egypt was blocked this week after a 1,300-foot cargo ship ran aground. Roughly 12% of global trade passes through the waterway, which connects the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea and serves as a key link between Europe and Asia. The blockage is expected to remain for several days.
