Senate passes new Covid-19 relief package

The Senate passed the new $1.9T coronavirus relief package in a party-line vote on Saturday. The bill includes $1,400 payments to many Americans, enhanced unemployment benefits, support for vaccines and testing, and relief for state and local governments. The House is expected to approve the bill tomorrow (after passing a similar measure last week) before sending it to President Biden for final signature.
