SCOTUS to hear arguments related to 2020 census apportionment count

The Supreme Court will hear arguments today on whether undocumented immigrants can be excluded from the “apportionment count” in the 2020 census. President Trump issued a memo in July that called for undocumented immigrants to be excluded from the count, which is used to divide congressional seats among states. The memo was subsequently challenged by several states and blocked in three lower courts.
