The US Supreme Court allowed a three-day extension for counting absentee ballots in Pennsylvania to remain in place yesterday. The court was deadlocked at 4-4, meaning that a lower court ruling made by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in September (which allowed for the extension) will be upheld.
