NY AG files worker protection lawsuit against Amazon

New York Attorney General Letitia James filed a worker protection lawsuit against Amazon yesterday. The lawsuit alleges that Amazon failed to provide adequate health and safety measures during the coronavirus outbreak and unlawfully fired and disciplined workers who reported safety concerns. Amazon sued James last Friday in an attempt to preempt her lawsuit, and a spokesperson for the retail giant said yesterday that the lawsuit does not accurately reflect its pandemic response measures.
