Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala set to lead the WTO

Nigerian-American economist Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is set to become the next director-general of the World Trade Organization after receiving US support last week. Okonjo-Iweala worked at the World Bank for 25 years and currently sits on Twitter’s board of directors. If confirmed, she would become the first woman and the first African national to lead the WTO.
