New WTO director makes history

Nigerian-American economist Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was formally selected as director-general of the World Trade Organization yesterday, becoming the first woman and first African to lead the WTO. Okonjo-Iweala previously worked at the World Bank for 25 years and currently sits on Twitter’s board of directors.
