Myanmar trial begins
Myanmar’s deposed civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi went on trial yesterday after being charged by the country’s military junta following a coup earlier this year. Critics have suggested that the charges are politically motivated, and the coup has drawn widespread international condemnation.
