Moderna announced that its coronavirus vaccine was 100% effective in adolescents ages 12-17, based on late-stage clinical trials. The company plans to request FDA authorization in June. If authorized, the vaccine would be the second approved in adolescents (following Pfizer’s vaccine, which received authorization earlier this month).
