Microsoft unveils mixed reality platform, Mesh
Microsoft unveiled Mesh yesterday, a “mixed-reality” platform that allows users in different physical locations to share holographic experiences (including interactions with each other’s avatars). The announcement comes as major technology companies invest more heavily in augmented and virtual reality products, including Facebook’s release of “infinite office” last year.
