Microsoft wins military contract for AR headsets

Microsoft won a contract with the US Army to provide 120k augmented reality headsets. The headsets will use elements of Microsoft’s HoloLens technology, and the program aims to deliver on a wide range of use cases and benefits (including enhanced situational awareness and enabling information sharing and decision-making in a variety of scenarios). The contract is reportedly worth up to $22B.
