FBI arrests six for conspiring to kidnap Michigan Gov. Whitmer

The FBI arrested six people for conspiring to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer. According to documents filed by the FBI, the men met through social media before connecting with a Michigan-based militia group, and planned to kidnap Whitmer and try her for “treason” in response to what they described as “tyrannical” behavior. The investigation was carried out by the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force in coordination with state officials (source).

Extra: Meanwhile, state authorities in Michigan arrested seven other individuals on charges of “providing material support of terroristic activities” based on information obtained during the investigation.
