President Trump pardoned former national security advisor Michael Flynn on Wednesday. Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI in 2017 about his conversations with the Russian ambassador to the US. The DOJ subsequently filed a motion (in May) to dismiss the case, asserting that the FBI’s initial questioning was unjustified.
