McConnell blocks initial vote to increase stimulus payments
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell blocked an initial vote to increase coronavirus relief payments from $600 to $2,000 yesterday. McConnell later proposed a separate bill that packages the increased payments with two other presidential priorities (including the repeal of “Section 230” tech protections and the creation of a new election advisory committee).
