Researchers publish evidence supporting presence of liquid water on Mars

Researchers published evidence supporting the presence of a large underground saltwater lake on Mars yesterday and announced the discovery of three additional lakes in the surrounding area. The findings (published in the scientific journal “Nature Astronomy”) support an initial discovery made in 2018, and the lakes would be the first bodies of liquid water discovered on Mars if ultimately confirmed.
