US officials announce cause of Kobe Bryant helicopter crash

The National Transportation Safety Board concluded that pilot error caused the helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant, his daughter, and seven other people last January. The crash was followed by widespread mourning for the hall-of-fame basketball player and the other passengers and prompted several ongoing lawsuits. Read the NTSB announcement.
