Jury selection for Derek Chauvin trial begins
Jury selection in the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin is scheduled to begin today. Chauvin currently faces two charges related to the death of George Floyd last May, including second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter. Floyd’s death was one of several incidents that prompted widespread protests over police brutality and racial inequality last year.
