John Geddert dies by suicide after charges

Former US Olympics gymnastics coach John Geddert died by suicide yesterday, hours after being charged with 24 counts of human trafficking, sexual assault, and running a criminal enterprise. The charges marked the latest fallout from the sexual abuse scandal involving Larry Nassar, a former USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University doctor who was convicted on a wide range of sexual assault charges in 2017.
