Italy begins major mafia trial
Italy kicked off one of the largest organized crime trials in the nation’s history yesterday, putting over 300 people with ties to the ‘Ndrangheta crime syndicate on trial. The group is considered to be one of the most powerful mafias in Italy, and the trial is expected to last at least a year.
