Israel begins lifting restrictions, requires vaccination passes

Israel began lifting coronavirus-driven restrictions yesterday, allowing a wide range of businesses, event venues, and other facilities to partially reopen. Certain locations (including gyms, hotels, and synagogues) will require individuals to have a “green pass” in order to enter, which certifies that they’ve been vaccinated. Nearly 50% of Israelis have received at least one vaccine dose to date.
