Inspire Brands to acquire Dunkin Brands for $11.3B

Inspire Brands announced plans to acquire Dunkin Brands (owner of Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins) in a transaction valued at $11.3B. Inspire owns a portfolio of restaurant brands including Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Sonic, and Jimmy John’s. The acquisition will nearly triple the company’s footprint, bringing system-wide restaurants to 32k (including 11k existing restaurants and 21k acquired from Dunkin’ Brands).
