House votes to increase coronavirus relief payments to $2,000

The House voted 275-134 to increase coronavirus relief payments from $600 to $2,000 yesterday. President Trump called for the increase after signing the new $900B coronavirus relief package on Sunday (which included $600 payments to most Americans, phasing out at income levels above $75k). The proposed increase still requires approval from the Senate, which has not indicated when (or if) it will consider the measure.
