House approves coronavirus relief package, sends bill to Senate
The House approved the new $1.9T coronavirus relief bill on Saturday (219-212) in a near party-line vote. The legislation now moves to the Senate, which is expected to pass its own version of the bill (likely without a $15 minimum wage). Democratic lawmakers are aiming to send the legislation to President Biden for final signature by March 14, when certain unemployment benefits are set to expire.
