10 states file antitrust lawsuit against Google

Texas and nine other states filed an antitrust lawsuit against Google yesterday. The lawsuit alleges that Google unlawfully monopolizes the online-display advertising market and that it entered into an illegal agreement with Facebook (which is named as a co-conspirator) to manipulate advertising auctions and prices. The Texas-led lawsuit is the second major antitrust case brought against Google this year, following a DOJ lawsuit in October.
