GM announces $2B electric vehicle facility in Tenneseee

General Motors announced plans to invest $2B in an electric vehicle production facility in Spring Hill, Tennessee yesterday. The investment is part of a $20B initiative focused on electric and autonomous vehicles (announced in March), and comes amid a push by the 111-year old automaker to compete with Telsa and other manufacturers as the auto industry expands its focus on electric vehicles.
