Gaza militants and Israel exchange series of rocket fire and airstrikes

Gaza militants and Israel have exchanged a series of rocket fire and airstrikes amid escalating tensions in the region. The cross-border exchanges started yesterday evening after Hamas (which controls Gaza) fired rockets towards Jerusalem, following violent clashes between Israeli police and Palestinians in East Jerusalem earlier in the day. Gaza militants have now fired over 300 rockets towards Israel since last night, while Israel says its airstrikes have hit 130 targets.
