FDA grants emergency use authorization for at-home coronavirus test

The FDA granted emergency use authorization for the first coronavirus test that can be self-administered in a person’s home. The test (made by Lucira Health) provides results in 30 minutes or less and was authorized for individuals age 14 and older who are “suspected of COVID-19 by their health care provider.”
