FDA expected to approve coronavirus vaccine

The FDA announced that it will “rapidly” work to grant emergency use authorization for Pfizer and BioNTech’s coronavirus vaccine. The announcement follows an independent review by an FDA advisory panel, which recommended approving the vaccine yesterday. Once approved, the US will become the fourth nation to approve the vaccine (joining the UK, Canada, and Bahrain).
