Facebook’s independent Oversight Board accepted a request (from Facebook) to review the indefinite suspension of former President Trump from Facebook and Instagram – a decision made by Facebook on January 7. The board was established in 2020 to make independent and binding decisions on Facebook’s content moderation practices that can’t be overruled by Facebook executives.
