Existing home sales increase 9% in September

Existing US home sales increased by 9% in September, reaching an annualized rate of 6.5M and remaining above pre-coronavirus levels for the third consecutive month. Meanwhile, the median price for homes sold in September was $311k (increasing 15% from the prior year). Existing home sales account for over 90% of total US home sales.
